World box office welcomes ‘Shazam’

‘Shazam’, the new production by Warner Bros, has succeeded to sell $56.8m just after two days of screening, breaking new record among bestselling debut films.  

Directed by David F. Sandberg and starring Zachary Levi, Mark Strong, Asher Angel, Michelle Borth, and Djimon Hounsou, ‘Shazam’ went on screen on Saturday and broke new box office record after two days of screening.

According to Screen Daily online film magazine, the flick went on screen at 4217 cinema theaters in different countries and received a very warm welcome from cinemagoers.

Box office reports from china, Mexico, Russia, Brazil, Australia, South Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia, and Thailand show that the movie has attracted the attention of cinemagoers successfully.

“We all have a superhero inside us; it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson's case, by shouting out one word - SHAZAM! - this streetwise fourteen-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult superhero Shazam,” a short synopsis of the flick read.
